Currently, I am enrolled at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.

2023 - 2024

I started at UQ studying a dual Bachelor of Economics and Computer Science. During this time, I learned a lot about software engineering and statistics, but also micro and macroeconomics.

CSSE1001 - Software Engineering

Introduction to Software Engineering through programming with particular focus on the fundamentals of computing and programming, using an exploratory problem-based approach. Building abstractions with procedures, data and objects; data modelling; designing, coding and debugging programs of increasing complexity.

STAT1201 - Analysis of Scientific Data

Analysis of scientific data and experiments: Design of experiments and ethical research. Data modelling and management. Exploratory data analysis. Randomness and probability. Statistical analysis including linear regression, analysis of variance, logistic regression, categorical data analysis, and non-parametric methods.

ECON1010 - Microeconomics

ECON1020 - Macroeconomics

Practical understanding of the core economic principles that explain why individuals, companies, and governments make the decisions they do and how their decision-making might be improved to make the best use of available resources

Examines the functioning of the economy & its interaction with the international economy. Studies GDP, unemployment & inflation, interest rates, investment, government expenditure, taxation policies & balance of payments. Alternative macroeconomic theories & models examined.

2024-now

In the second half of my first university year, I transferred to the dual Bachelor of Economics and Business Management program. However, I did not abandon my interest in Computer Science as I am currently working on programming certifications.

ECON1050 - Tools of Economic Analysis

This course provides essential mathematical tools for studying Economics. It includes functions of one variable, differentiation, integrals, optimisation, and matrix algebra.

This course provides an introduction to the fundamental principles of managing business organisations including key management concepts, models and contexts. The course covers the functions of management, strategic frameworks and responsible management.

MGTS1301 - Introduction to Management

Developing an understanding of employee personalities and attitudes, motivation and leadership, power, group dynamics, and culture on employee attitudes and behavior.

An applied econometrics course for students with an economic statistics background. Topics covered include economic models and the role of econometrics, linear regression with single and multiple regressors, hypothesis testing and confidence intervals, dummy variables, and nonlinear regression functions, the internal and external validity of regression models, panel data models, binary response models, instrumental variable regressions, experiments, and quasi-experiments, as well as fundamental time series analysis. Practical problems are solved using the R econometrics software.

MKTG1501 - Foundations of Marketing

Examines theories of markets & marketing, consumer behaviour, applications of behavioural science & basic marketing principles.

LAWS1100 - Business Law

This course is a fundamental-level examination of the law regulating business in Australia today for accountants, business managers, and other non-legal professionals. It seeks to develop students' knowledge of the Australian legal system and of the laws associated with starting, managing, financing, and closing a business, as well as their ability to solve simple legal problems.

BISM1201 - Transforming Business with Information Systems

Uses of information systems in organizations, management of information systems. Introduction to computer hardware and software; information systems development, implementation, and operation. Practical experience with spreadsheets, database management, and other business applications software for business problems.

ACCT1101 - Accounting for Decision Making

Introduction to the accounting environment, analysis and interpretation of financial statements and other business information for the purpose of decision making.

Nový PORG International High School Prague

This is where my experience with international education started! At PORG I was enrolled in the International Baccalaureate diploma program (IB), which is an internationally recognized educational program that offers challenging coursework designed to develop students' intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills.
